Step by Step

I wrote an article yesterday for submission to some of the online article sites entitled “5 Steps to Landing Your Dream Job — in 60 Days!”.  In a way, I feel like I’m taking a bit of a chance with this article, daring to state that it’s possible to get a job in 60 days in today’s economy.  But it is possible, and if you go about your job search the right way, 60 days will be a realistic time frame to land a great job.  Not just any job!

My 5 steps are a little different, they are:

1. Understand that the internet is a tool
2. Know yourself, and know your target
3. Have a strong networking team
4. Have strong supporting documents
5. Stay Positive

These 5 steps probably aren’t the industry standard that you’ll hear all the time.  But I think these steps cover areas that I see people making mistakes in during their job search.  These are job search killers!  Real deal breakers for anybody looking for a new job, or to advance in their career. So while they may be a bit different, I think they are vitally important, and must be understood.
