About
My name is Scott Pingel, owner of PowerMyResume.com and this blog.
I’m told I need to provide a quick history of me, at least as far as work goes, so people (you) will not think that I’m not a real person. So here’s my attempt at proving my reality……
I love working with people as they go through a job search or career advancement. I’ve been in the recruiting business since 2001, and I’ve had the opportunity to help a lot of different people find their “dream jobs.” I’ve worked with all levels of employees, from CEO, VP types to mechanics and technicians (who I love working with). I’ve seen the challenges faced by each, and I’ve been able to learn by one in order to help another.
I’ve also been a small business owner for many years, where I’ve worn hats from President to HR to cleanup and everything in between. I love the challenge of building a quality business, and working through the highs and lows that come every day. I’ve hired a lot of people, and developed a good feel for what an employer looks for.
I combine these past experiences today to work with all kinds of people as an Employment Coach or Mentor. I’ve worked on both sides of the isle, the company and the individual, so I have a unique perspective that has helped a lot of people. I’m still learning, but I feel like I have a lot to offer in guiding others looking for a job today.
Our website and main business, www.powermyresume.com is set up to provide resume writing services. Again, I call on my unique combination of experience in writing a very good resume at a good price. We also offer Employment Coaching services where we work one on one with people. This is an invaluable tool for those who need it.
This blog is set up as an outlet for articles, opinions, advice, and community. It is an extension of our website, but allows me more freedom in writing and communicating. I kind of like it. Hopefully you’ll check back often and spread the word, I’ll try to always have worthwhile and valuable information for you here.
I’m looking for a picture of my family that I can upload to the blog. With 9 kids and 4 grandkids, it’s hard to find the right size of picture. I’ll update as soon as I find one. Life’s good.
Enjoy the blog, and let me know what you think!
